What belongs on the Friday review page

The Friday page at the academy is a single sheet. Learners who treat it as a second essay start inventing a new method every weekend, and the weekday pages stop matching each other.

Write these five lines and then close the book.

First, name the routine you claimed for the week: the instrument, the timeframe, and the days you intended to sit. Second, name the sittings you actually did. If Thursday was a blank, Thursday stays a blank. Third, one level that held, with the date you first marked it. Fourth, one level you marked too early, and the session where you noticed. Fifth, one sentence on what stays the same next week. Sameness is the point.

A Friday page is a poor place for a new indicator, a fresh watchlist, or a speech about the month. Those belong in a conversation if they belong anywhere. On the six-week desk, week five is used to practice this page early, so Friday is not the first time the learner tries to be brief.

If you miss Friday, write the five lines on Saturday morning before you look at a smaller timeframe. The delay is honest. Replacing the page with a screenshot folder is how a month becomes impossible to reread.

Mali asks the Tuesday circle to try a shorter version: three lines, because the circle has not spent a week on one private chart. The private desk keeps five. Either version fails when it turns into a diary of opinions. Opinions can sit in the margin. The numbered lines stay factual.

When you reread a month of Friday pages, you should be able to see whether the checklist survived contact with an ordinary week. That is the whole assignment.
